The Bangkok Publishing Residence stands as a testament to Thailand’s active literary scene during the 1940–60s. Belonging to the Rojamaprapa family, who began publishing Bangkok Weekly in 1958, the compound was transformed over a period of seven years from a publishing factory to the boutique hotel and museum it is today. With a majority of its architectural features and relics from its publishing days still preserved, the residence’s vintage splendour is exclusive to guests of the eight unique hotel rooms. An intentional theme of ink and paper spills through the entire facility; from a still-functional printing press in the lobby to bespoke toiletries packaged as contents of a pencil case.
